Butterfly Shader & Particle System

”One of the old Shader & Particle Systems I’ve set up in the mobile game Equestrian the Game. It was a lovely challenge to combine the shader to drive the vertice offset & colorization of the butterfly wings. And combine that with the Unity Particle System to handle the behavior of the butterflies.
The Shader uses a mirrored gradient texture to control the offset for the vertices in local space, an Albedo texture for graphics and alpha clip. I made an appearances on ”Equestrian the Game dev talk #7″ on YouTube in 2020 and had a short tutorial for setting the ShaderGraph itself up. One fun challenge was to circumvent a Shader Graph bug with the gradient node.”
